What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is one of the highest-concentration stabilised hyaluronic acids, blending high and low molecular-weight HA without chemical cross-linkers. Injected at a few strategic points, it spreads through the tissue plane rather than staying put — hydrating deeply and slowly releasing HA that stimulates elastin and collagen, an effect known as bio-remodelling.

Because it improves the quality and bounce of the skin rather than adding shape, the result is firmer, dewier, more elastic skin — useful on the face, neck and hands. It is typically given as two initial sessions about a month apart, then maintained periodically.

On the day and afterwards

Profhilo is injected at a few strategic points (often the "BAP" technique) so the stabilised HA spreads smoothly through the tissue. A session is quick — about 15–20 minutes — with minimal discomfort.

Small raised bumps at the injection points settle within hours to a day; mild bruising is possible. The usual protocol is two initial sessions about a month apart, then maintenance.

When changes may appear

Hydration and a fresh glow appear within a week or two, with firmness and elasticity building over the following weeks as elastin and collagen are stimulated. Maintenance every few months preserves the effect.
