Profhilo

Stabilised HA bio-remodelling

A highly concentrated stabilised hyaluronic acid that spreads to deeply hydrate and bio-remodel the skin, improving firmness and glow.

Profhilo bio-remodelling — Hori Clinic Bangkok

Quick answer

Profhilo: what to know first

Profhilo is an injectable stabilised hyaluronic-acid product used to support hydration and skin quality rather than to create facial contour like conventional filler. Suitability, treatment course and expected change should be assessed individually, and it does not replace lifting when laxity is the main concern.

Suitable for
Dehydrated or crepey-looking skin and early loss of elasticity when added volume is not the main goal
Discuss first
Discuss pregnancy or breastfeeding, infection, allergies, bleeding risk, medicines and previous injectables
Discomfort
Brief stinging or pressure at the injection points; topical anaesthetic may be used
Downtime
Small raised points, redness, swelling or bruising can last from hours to a few days
When change may be noticed
Hydration and texture changes are gradual and should be reviewed after the planned course
Alternatives
Skincare, other skin boosters, polynucleotides, lifting devices or filler may better match another goal

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a stabilised injectable hyaluronic-acid product combining high- and low-molecular-weight HA. It is used with the goal of supporting hydration and skin quality rather than creating structural contour like a conventional filler.

Published studies use different areas, techniques, schedules and outcome measures. They suggest potential skin-quality change but do not establish one universal protocol or predict an individual result. A physician should first distinguish dehydration or early texture change from volume loss or clinically important laxity.

How it works

01

Stabilised HA spreads smoothly through the skin layers.

02

It releases lasting hydration and stimulates elastin and collagen (bio-remodelling).

03

Skin becomes firmer, dewier and more elastic over a short initial series.

Why it may help

Why Profhilo

  • Deep, lasting hydration across the whole area
  • Bio-remodelling firms and improves elasticity
  • Few injection points, comfortable sessions
  • Dewy, "lit-from-within" natural glow

A doctor may consider it for

  • Crepey, dehydrated or dull skin
  • Early skin laxity on face, neck or hands
  • Want hydration plus a firming effect
  • Prefer a natural glow over added volume

On the day and afterwards

The doctor confirms the goal, treatment area, exact product and previous injectables before choosing injection points, depth and technique. A BAP pattern may be considered when appropriate, but the pattern and appointment time are not identical for every area or person.

Raised points, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may last from hours to a few days. The number and timing of visits depend on the product, area, response and agreed goal rather than a universal maintenance schedule.

When changes may appear

Changes in hydration or skin quality are gradual. Published studies use different endpoints and protocols, so progress is better judged with comparable photographs and follow-up after the planned course. Profhilo is not a substitute for structural filler or lifting treatment when volume loss or laxity is the main finding.

Everyone responds differently. Before treatment, your doctor will examine the area and talk through a plan that makes sense for you.

Profhilo, answered.

How is Profhilo different from filler or another skin booster?+

Profhilo is a stabilised hyaluronic-acid product used for hydration and skin-quality goals, not structural contour. Products grouped as skin boosters are not interchangeable, so the choice should follow the diagnosis, area and agreed goal.

How many sessions do I need?+

There is no universal schedule for every person. The physician plans the number and interval by the product, area, response and goal; a published study protocol should not automatically be applied to every individual.

What reactions need prompt medical review?+

Temporary bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur. Seek prompt review for increasing or severe pain, pale, grey or blue skin, vision change, spreading redness, discharge, fever or neurological symptoms.

Medical decision support

What the physician checks before recommending Profhilo

Goal and suitability

  • Is the main concern dehydration or early skin-quality change, rather than structural volume loss or marked laxity?
  • Which area and outcome will be measured, and what degree of change is realistic?
  • Would skincare, another skin booster, filler, a lifting device or surgical assessment match the concern more directly?

History and precautions

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection, inflammation or an open wound should be discussed first.
  • The doctor reviews allergies, medicines affecting bleeding, prior reactions and previous injectables in the area.
  • The exact product, injection plan, aftercare and follow-up should be confirmed before treatment.

Risks, limits and warning signs

  • Temporary bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur after injection.
  • Evidence is heterogeneous and does not guarantee the same result for every area, technique or person.
  • Increasing or severe pain, pale or discoloured skin, vision change, spreading redness, discharge, fever or neurological symptoms need prompt medical review.

Evidence and safety context

  1. PubMed: systematic review of Profhilo for aesthetic indications
  2. PubMed: systematic review of injectable hyaluronic acid for facial skin quality
  3. U.S. FDA: general safety information for injectable dermal fillers

The systematic reviews describe differing products, protocols and outcomes. The FDA page provides general injection-safety context; it does not establish Profhilo's approval status in Thailand or validate every Profhilo-specific claim.

This page provides general information and is not a diagnosis. A physician must review medical history, the treatment area, previous procedures and goals before recommending an injectable treatment.

A few things to know about Profhilo

We last reviewed these sources on 23 July 2026. They can help you prepare for a consultation, but they cannot replace an examination or a consent discussion with your doctor.

What the evidence says

Studies of injectable hybrid hyaluronic-acid complexes report changes in hydration, elasticity and laxity, but the evidence base is still relatively small and includes industry involvement.

Risks worth discussing

Product identity, intended area, expected benefit and injection risks must be discussed. Published group averages do not predict an individual's outcome.

Tell us before you book

  • Ask which exact product or device will be used and where.
  • Tell us about medicines, allergies, pregnancy, medical conditions and recent procedures.
  • Ask about alternatives, recovery and warning signs.

Regulatory references describe their own jurisdictions and are used for safety context; they do not by themselves establish Thai registration or an indication for a specific product.
