Botulinum toxin for wrinkles & slimming
Relaxes targeted muscles to soften dynamic wrinkles (forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet) and can slim the jawline or lift the brow when placed by an experienced physician.

Quick answer
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces nerve signalling to selected muscles. It may suit dynamic expression lines or selected muscle-related concerns, but dose and placement must follow a medical assessment because excessive or misplaced effect can cause temporary asymmetry or weakness.
Botox is a purified botulinum toxin type A. Injected in tiny, precisely mapped units, it binds the nerve endings that release acetylcholine — the chemical messenger that tells a muscle to contract — so the targeted muscle relaxes and the skin folding over it smooths out.
The art lies in dosing and placement: enough to soften movement lines on the forehead, frown and crow’s feet, or to slim an overactive masseter and subtly lift the brow or lip — while preserving natural expression. Effects appear within a few days, peak around two weeks, and fade over three to four months as nerve signalling returns.
It blocks acetylcholine — the chemical signal that tells a muscle to contract.
The targeted muscle relaxes, so the overlying skin creases soften.
The effect is temporary (~3–4 months) as nerve signalling naturally returns.
After mapping the muscles, the doctor places several tiny injections with a fine needle. The treatment takes about 10–15 minutes and feels like quick pinpricks; no anaesthesia is usually needed.
You can return to normal life immediately. Avoid rubbing the area, lying flat or intense heat/exercise for the rest of the day so the product settles precisely.
Effects begin in 3–5 days and peak around two weeks. Results typically last 3–4 months for wrinkles, and often longer for jaw slimming, after which a repeat maintains the effect.
Everyone responds differently. Before treatment, your doctor will examine the area and talk through a plan that makes sense for you.
Conservative dosing may reduce this risk, but temporary asymmetry or unwanted weakness can still occur. The doctor should explain the intended movement change before treatment.
The injections can feel like brief pinpricks; discomfort varies and pain-control options can be discussed.
The interval depends on product, dose, area and response. Repeat treatment should follow a doctor review rather than an automatic schedule.
