Vitaran

2% PN focused on comfort and dewy-looking skin

Vitaran I and II contain sodium polynucleotide 20 mg/mL (2% PN), the same concentration as Rejuran Healer. Vitaran is positioned here for people who prioritize treatment comfort and a hydrated, dewy-looking skin goal. A physician confirms the variant, area and realistic outcome.

Quick answer

Vitaran: what to know first

Vitaran I and II are documented at 20 mg/mL (2% PN). A small randomized split-face study found lower injection-pain scores with Vitaran I than Rejuran i around the eyes, while wrinkle outcomes were comparable. That evidence is specific to those variants and that area. Vitaran may be planned toward hydration and radiance, but no direct trial proves it creates more glow than Rejuran for everyone.

What is Vitaran?

Official product information documents Vitaran I and Vitaran II at the same 20 mg/mL (2% PN) concentration, with syringe size and intended treatment area as the practical differences. This makes them concentration peers of Rejuran Healer, not a weaker PN category.

The differentiator is formulation and experience. In a randomized, patient-blinded split-face pilot, Vitaran I produced lower mean pain scores than Rejuran i during periorbital injection, with comparable wrinkle outcomes. Because the study included only 15 people and was funded by BR PHARM, it should not be generalized to Vitaran II, Rejuran Healer or full-face treatment without caution.

How it works

01

Identify the concern and treatment area before choosing a Vitaran variant.

02

Confirm the exact variant, concentration, injection depth and aftercare.

03

Review gradual skin-quality change and injection reactions before repeating treatment.

Why it may help

Why Vitaran

  • Vitaran I/II are documented at 20 mg/mL (2% PN)
  • A direct pilot trial supports lower periorbital injection-pain scores for Vitaran I
  • Hydration, tone and texture are used to define a dewy-looking skin goal
  • No direct evidence proves more glow than Rejuran for every person
Direct comparison

What “less painful” actually means

Study design

Randomized, patient-blinded, split-face pilot in 15 participants and 60 procedures. Vitaran I and Rejuran i were injected around opposite eyes with the same 34G needle and investigator.

Pain result

Mean pain score was 3.39 for Vitaran I versus 5.01 for Rejuran i on a 10-point scale (p<0.0001). Vitaran I scored lower in 48 of 60 procedures.

Important limit

The study was small, assessed the periorbital area, compared Vitaran I with Rejuran i, and was funded by BR PHARM. It does not prove the same difference for Vitaran II versus Rejuran Healer or for full-face treatment.

Evidence level: strong for the measured pain difference within this small randomized trial; emerging for generalizing that difference to other variants, areas and clinic techniques.

A doctor may consider it for

  • Has a defined area and skin-quality concern
  • Wants the exact Vitaran variant documented before injection
  • Can accept temporary bumps, redness, swelling or bruising
  • Understands that it is not a filler substitute for structural volume

On the day and afterwards

The physician first confirms the exact Vitaran variant, concentration and treatment area, then plans injection depth and spacing. Topical anaesthetic may be used. Session duration and number of visits depend on the area, technique, response and goal.

Small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may last from hours to a few days. Follow the clinic’s instructions on cleansing, skincare, make-up, exercise and symptoms that require medical review.

When changes may appear

Evaluate change gradually with comparable photographs and follow-up rather than relying on temporary swelling after injection. Whether to repeat treatment depends on the named variant, response, side effects and original goal.

Everyone responds differently. Before treatment, your doctor will examine the area and talk through a plan that makes sense for you.

How much PN is in Vitaran?+

Official documentation lists Vitaran I and II at 20 mg/mL, equivalent to 2% PN. They use different syringe sizes and intended areas.

Is Vitaran less painful than Rejuran?+

A small randomized split-face study found lower pain scores for Vitaran I than Rejuran i around the eyes. It does not establish the same difference for Vitaran II versus Rejuran Healer, full-face injection or every clinic technique.

Does Vitaran create more glow than Rejuran?+

Vitaran may be planned for hydration, tone and texture goals that patients describe as dewy-looking skin. There is no direct comparative trial proving it produces more glow than Rejuran for every person.

Is there downtime?+

Small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising may last from hours to a few days. Recovery varies by variant, area, technique and individual response.

Medical decision support

Suitability, precautions and realistic expectations

May be suitable for

  • People considering a PN product range for a defined skin-quality goal
  • Cases where the selected Vitaran variant and treatment area match
  • People who understand that this is not a filler substitute for structural volume

Tell the doctor before treatment

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, infection, inflammation or open wounds
  • Medicines that affect bleeding, allergies and reactions to previous injectables
  • The exact Vitaran variant, concentration, treatment area and aftercare plan

Possible effects and limits

  • Small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur
  • Infection, allergic reaction, nodules or vascular complications are uncommon but need prompt medical review
  • Evidence for PN is promising but heterogeneous and cannot be transferred automatically to every Vitaran variant

Evidence and product information

  1. Vitaran product brochure: 20 mg/mL (2% PN) and intended areas
  2. Randomized split-face study: Vitaran I versus Rejuran i injection pain
  3. PubMed: systematic review of injectable polynucleotides
  4. PubMed: randomized PN versus hyaluronic-acid study

The pain comparison is a small manufacturer-funded study of Vitaran I versus Rejuran i around the eyes. Hydration and radiance are reasonable treatment goals, but no head-to-head evidence proves Vitaran produces more glow than Rejuran for every person.

A few things to know about Polynucleotide injections

We last reviewed these sources on 23 July 2026. They can help you prepare for a consultation, but they cannot replace an examination or a consent discussion with your doctor.

What the evidence says

Evidence for polynucleotide injections is promising but remains limited by small, heterogeneous studies. Product composition, concentration, indication and protocol should be verified.

Risks worth discussing

Do not infer that evidence for the ingredient class proves identical results for every brand. Injection reactions and individual contraindications still require assessment.

Tell us before you book

  • Ask which exact product or device will be used and where.
  • Tell us about medicines, allergies, pregnancy, medical conditions and recent procedures.
  • Ask about alternatives, recovery and warning signs.
