Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) — the same biocompatible polymer used in dissolvable surgical sutures. It is not a conventional filler. Sculptra is reconstituted and injected into the deep dermis or subcutis across the area, often followed by massage. A session takes about 30–45 minutes.
